How to Propose a Special Session
The proposal for a special session should be sent by Special Session Organizers to Special Session Co-Chairs Marek Pałasiński (mpalasinski@wsiz.rzeszow.pl) or Piotr Augustyniak (august@agh.edu.pl) no later than December 1, 2012, and should include:
  • Title of the session;
  • Names and contact data of the organizers, including addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses;
  • Description of the focus area of the session: background and rationale for organizing the session, in at least 100 -200 words;
  • Assignment, if possible, of being proposed the Special Session to Conference Track;
  • Tentative titles of at least four (4) contributions, names and contact data of the contributing and committed authors;
  • The contributing authors should be affiliated to at least two different institutions.
Special Session Organizers will be notified on the acceptance of their proposal by December 5, 2012. In the case of acceptance, the session organizer will request the invited authors to submit their papers by January, 15, 2013.

Review process

The papers from Special Sessions focusing on topics covered by one of the Conference Tracks are subject to the usual review process handled by the respective Track Co-Chairs, through the conference paper submission system. The reviewing of Special Sessions papers that are not fitted into the Conference Track will be coordinated by the Special Sessions Co-Chairs and assisted by the Program Co-Chairs.

Composition of Special Sessions

The arrangement of papers in the sessions will consider the Special Sessions in order to keep the respective accepted papers together. In the case of an insufficient number of papers to fill a full session (typically four), the Track Co-Chairs of the associated tracks, or the Program Co-Chairs in case of Special Sessions not associated to a track, will include other accepted papers, basing on consultation with Special Session Organizers.

Miscellaneous

Each accepted paper must be presented at the conference by one of the authors. The final manuscript must be accompanied by a registration form and proof of registration fee payment. All conference attendees, including authors, session chairpersons, and special sessions organizers, must pay the conference registration fee and their own travel expenses.
